Mr. Johnston met with Managing Director Masoud Abshar and took a tour around the Bibra Lake manufacturing facility.
Mr. Johnston and Mr. Abshar discussed the potential of renewable energy as a big contributor to the WA power supply, particularly through energy storage for remote and edge of grid applications. Also discussed was Magellan’s future as a local energy storage supplier, and its supply to Australian and overseas projects.
“Mr. Johnston is very forward thinking in regards to the future of renewable energy and efficiency of the power grid in WA. He is also an advocate of local technology and providing smart jobs in Western Australia – which is very important to Magellan. We are pleased to have him as a supporter” Mr. Abshar said.
Magellan Power has recently launched its locally made Home Energy Storage unit,
the HESS . The system is an all-in 1 device which incorporates an inverter and high efficiency Lithium batteries to save solar energy for use at night or when there is limited sunlight.
