Magellan Power Wins Leading with Innovation Award at NCCI Business Excellence Awards 2025
Magellan Power is proud to announce that we have won the Leading with Innovation Award at the Newman Chamber of Commerce & Industry (NCCI) Business Excellence Awards 2025, held on Saturday, 13 September.
The annual Newman CCI Business Excellence Awards celebrate the achievements, innovation and enterprising spirit of small to medium-sized businesses across the Shire of East Pilbara.
Magellan Power’s award submission highlighted our landmark project at a remote eco resort in Western Australia, where we delivered a transition from diesel-only power to an integrated solar and battery storage solution. This off-grid project now achieves:
- 75% renewable energy fraction
- 73,700 litres diesel saved annually
- 197 kgs of CO₂ emissions reduced per year
- $185,000 fuel and operating cost savings
These outcomes not only demonstrate the value of Australian-made, customised solutions but also showcase the role of innovation in supporting sustainable tourism and reducing environmental impact in remote regions.
